What is VARDS?
Virtual Allied Remote Diagnostic Services (VARDS) offers top-notch diagnostic evaluations, therapeutic advice, and medical interventions for patients dealing with acute or chronic psychiatric behavioral disorders. These include erectile dysfunction, mood disorders, ADHD, sleep disorders, personality disorders, depression, and anxiety disorders.

Our patients appreciate the convenience of remote consultations, which they can access from their own homes through various channels including email, phone calls, video conferencing, and text messages.

With licensed therapists available round the clock, VARDS delivers affordable, urgent psychiatric care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

When do I see a provider?
Once you've successfully finished the complimentary registration process, VARDS will pair you with an appropriate mental health professional - be it a Psychiatrist, a mental health Nurse Practitioner, or a Counselor. This match will be determined based on your stated goals, preferences, and reported symptoms. However, if at any stage you believe that your chosen provider is not the right match, rest assured, we will gladly facilitate a transition to another therapist who is better suited to cater to your needs.

Who are the mental health providers?
All of our mental health practitioners are fully certified, highly experienced, and accredited within the field of mental health. Each one is board certified, has amassed over 2,000 hours of practical experience, and possesses outstanding communication skills. We warmly invite you to explore their individual bios to learn more about their qualifications, expertise, and dedication to mental health care.

How are the providers verified?
At VARDS, we implement rigorous background checks on every one of our mental health providers, verify their references, and consistently validate that their licenses are maintained in good standing with their respective state boards. The vetting process extends beyond confirming our therapists' medical credentials. We also mandate all mental health providers to undergo a certified personality assessment in addition to a case study exam. Only clinicians who stand out in this exhaustive and stringent interview process are welcomed into the VARDS team.

What is your cancellation policy?
VARDS patients may cancel their appointments without a cancellation fee up until the 24 hour mark before their scheduled visit. Please note that a cancelation fee will be assessed to patients who cancel any time after the 23 hour mark of their scheduled consultation.

Can we get a super-bill?
All patients who seek urgent psychiatric services may request a super-bill, which will allow them to pursue a refund from their respective insurance carriers as eligibility for reimbursement may vary.

Who is a returning patient?
Patients who scheduled at least one appointment with VARDS within 60 days of their last appointment with VARDS.

Who is a new patient?
Patients who have never scheduled an appointment or seen by a VARDS provider. Patients who fail to schedule at least one appointment with VARDS within 90 days of their last appointment with VARDS.

Can a virtual visit effectively substitute for traditional face-to-face therapy?
Although the VARDS providers are licensed and certified mental health practitioners, their virtual services is not intended to replace traditional face-to-face therapy.

VARDS clinicians are qualified to assess and treat your psychopathy, however, in some cases our therapists may be unable to officially diagnose and/or prescribe long-term medication management such as cases that require medical clearance. VARDS patients will be informed if medical clearance is required during their consultation.

Can I use my insurance benefits?
VARDS accepts the following insurance providers for non-urgent psychiatric services: Regence, Tri-care, UBH-Optum, Cigna, Aetna, Medicare and Premera. Patients with different insurances may request superbill to help them get reimbursed if they don’t have out of network benefit.

Can VARDS manage my medical illness?
VARDS specializes in treating patients with psychiatric disorders. Please contact your primary care provider for non-psychiatric and other medical issues.

Is VARDS Telehealth secure?Certainly, our telehealth platform is secure and private with advanced encryption for your video sessions. We prioritize protecting your personal information and discussions.

Can I choose between video and phone consultations?Yes, you can choose between video and phone consultations, depending on your preference and comfort.

How can I schedule Telehealth appointments?Scheduling a telehealth appointment is as easy as scheduling an in-person appointment. Simply visit our appointments page and request an appointment. You will receive confirmation and instructions on how to join the video session.

Is Telehealth only for specific mental health conditions?No, telehealth is suitable for a wide range of mental health conditions. Our team of experts is knowledgeable in addressing various psychiatric and behavioral issues.
